I purchased this product after hearing great reviews about the Shea Moisture brand. I am always on the lookout for new products for my curly hair so I decided to give their Gel Souffle a try!
Our all natural Curling Gel Souffle with Argave Necter and Flax Seed Oil defines and promotes curls with a soft, smooth finish. Coconut and Flax Seed Oils nourish, promote and seal the hair shaft to protect against environment stressors and promote natural oil retention. Enriched with Shea Butter our natural humectant complex moisturizes and conditions leaving hair with a frizz free, laquer-like shine. This product does not contain Silicones, Polymers or PVP which may cause buildup.
Coconut Oil – Hydrates and protects while reducing frizz
Agave Nectar – Delivers soft hold and body with a smooth after-feel
Flax Seed Oil – Rich in Omega 3 essential fatty acids, Flax Seed Oil promotes strength while imparting shine
It is also free from Sulphates, Parabens, Phthalates, Paraffin, Mineral Oil and Synthetic Colour.
I am pleased with the product so far. It defines and moisturizes my curls. Applying a small amount to the tips of my fingers and running through dry second day hair, helps to restore my curls and bring them back to life. It also adds shine without making my hair feel crunchy or sticky.
Beware – do not use a large amount of this product! You may end up with sticky and greasy hair and this is due to the key ingredient Agave Nectar. But a little really does go a long way, so I only pick up a small amount with two of my fingers.
Due to it’s natural ingredients and the absence of Parabens and Sulphates, I have noticed a considerable difference in the health and strength of my hair. The gel like consistency does take sometime to get used to but a small price to pay for an overall decent quality product! It is priced at €17.99.
The added moisture and shine to my hair was really just a bonus. The gel has a great hold which lasts a day of running around and harsh weather. All in all I recommend!
